Right now there are inumerous theories, conspiracies and rumors.

In here we gattered the most incredible ones and the most believeble too.

The "Chupacabra" Theory:

The most outrageous theory is that he is "El Chupacabra" and there for he is locked in the family house basement in El Paso;

The "banished from the family" Theories:

The most acceptable is that he has been banished from the family because he refused to became a musician, have a band and then become Omar slave, like is brother Marcel;
(others say he actually was the one that run away from the family, afraid of what Omar could do to him when he found out about it;)
The other one is that, he was banished from the family because he's got no curly hair like any other man in the family and was adopted by Cedric Zavala grandmother, also banished from the Zavala family because of her German blonde hair and blue eyes;

The rumors:

Is rumored that the "refusing to be a musician and run away theory" unfortunately is not real, that Rico didn’t get that much luck after all and Omar caught him on time and currently forces him to record every single guitar accord Omar does;
It is also rumored (not yet confirmed) that Rico was the master mind behind the Milli Vanilli plot;

The "mother" theory:

The most important theory of them all is, that their mother (also never seen by anyone) broke the tradition on naming they child’s with an "mar" sound name, after Omar runway from home when he was a teenager to go hitchhike around the USA, and so she named her younger son Rico, instead of any other silly name like her other sons, after Omar got home save and sound and crack addicted, she regretted the choice and with the help of her husband and Rico father, Angel Rodriguez, they hide him from this world;

Rico Rodriguez Lopez is the youngest of the four brothers of the Rodriguez Lopez family. The most notable brother of them all is, with out a doubt, Omar Alfredo Rodriguez Lopez, maestro, producer and lead guitarist of the progressive rock group The Mars Volta. Next in line is Marcel Rodriguez Lopez, also a member of The Mars Volta Group, and last Marfred Rodriguez Lopez, also a musician, as any other member of the Rodriguez Lopez family.
Rico is mostly known because he doesn't have a band and had never shown signs of having a musical talent and was never seen by anyone that actually deserves to be taking seriously.

Rico Rodriguez Lopez apparently grew up in El Paso, Texas, but there is no real prove of that, by the simple fact that no one ever saw Rico Rodriguez Lopez in the city or in any place else.
The Rodriguez Lopez family also never mention his existence.
We know that is out there, perhaps locked in some place or living in some cave in the American desert, but wherever he is, he's praying for someone to help him out to reclaim his position among his celebrity brothers in the Rodriguez Lopez Family.
